Thank you so much for booking your kayaking tour with Smart Tours! We are excited to have the opportunity to show off this beautiful corner of the world to you!

Here's a little more info regarding our upcoming 10 AM paddle:

Please remember to dress in layers as the wind blowing off the ocean is often quite cold. Expect anything you bring into the kayak to get a little wet. It can be hot elsewhere in the county but on the North Coast it generally stays cooler and often windier even if the sun is out. Water shoes or sandals work best as far as footwear options. A towel and a change of clothes for after kayaking is a good idea.

The weather at the coast is highly variable. In case of heavy rain, high winds, or strong river currents I will contact you prior to the to discuss options including our alternate paddling locations.

There is very little to no cell service at the coast and the roads are twisty so please check driving times prior to heading out. Try and arrive a little early to find parking, use the restrooms, get changed, etc.

Also please do not park in the Post Office parking lot next to the wine and gift shop. There is a small lot in front of the Visitor's Center. If that is full there is a long dirt shoulder on the West side of Hwy 1 with lots of space. If you need help, pull up to your guide in the main lot and I will direct you to the best place to park.

Unfortunately we will have to begin our paddle regardless of whether or not everyone shows up on time.

Your guide will be standing at the top of the boat launch (next to the visitor's center) wearing a bright green life jacket looking like I'm looking for you. Jenner is a very small town and the boat launch area is to the West side of Hwy 1 across from the only gas station.
