Traverse Tall Ship Co. offers the premier day sailing experience in Traverse City! Enjoy a 2-hour sunset sail aboard Scout followed by a romantic night tucked away at our dock in Center Pointe Marina. After returning from our sail, the crew departs, leaving you to enjoy a private and peaceful night afloat. Walk down the dock to enjoy an evening cocktail at West End Tavern, or the Burrow, then head to town for a little nightlife, or just enjoy the tranquility of life aboard your yacht.
**What You Can Expect:**
• We will sail lower West Grand Traverse Bay, affording a good view of the Traverse City waterfront, including landmarks such as the historic Park Place Hotel and the Great Lakes Maritime Academy with its 224 ft. training vessel, State of Michigan. Depending on the wind, we may get as far north as Power Island or Bowers Harbor
• You’re welcome to help raise the sails and steer the ship (great photo op!)
• Our friendly captain and crew love to chat one-on-one and answer your questions in this casual and friendly environment.
• 2-hour sunset sail
• A private overnight at the dock, with the boat all to yourselves
• Breakfast is not included. Check out is 10:00 am
Scout can accommodate up to 4 people in two cozy double cabins. Stepping down below, you are instantly immersed in a symphony of light colored teak. There is a head (bathroom) and shower, plus you have access to the marina bathroom/shower facilities and lounge. Amenities include: Flat screen TV with DVD player, stereo system, and full galley, including refrigerator stocked with soft drinks.
During the sail, you may participate as much, or as little, as you like. Sit back and relax or jump right in and help pilot this magnificent vessel. Take the wheel, set sails, and crank winches; we’re happy to teach you about sailing!
While cruising, you’ll enjoy complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, you’re welcome to bring your own alcoholic drinks aboard. Feel free to also pack a meal for the trip.

What to Bring
• Since you will be staying overnight, make sure to bring toiletries, a change of clothes, and any extra food you think you will need
• We strongly recommend sunscreen and a hat
• All alcoholic beverages are BYOB. Please leave large, hard plastic coolers ashore

• All passengers should wear rubber soft-soled sneakers/tennis shoes or sandals
• Even at the height of summer it’s usually cooler on the water. We recommend having a jacket or sweater with you

**Check-in and Free Parking**
**Directions from Traverse City:**
West Bay Shore Drive is also M-22. Approximately 1 mile north of the M-72 turn off (to Empire) CenterPointe Marina will be on your right (brown building with white seagulls on the side). The parking lot will be on your left, across the road from the marina. If using GPS, the address for the parking lot is 12920 S. West Bay Shore Drive, Traverse City, MI 49684.
**There is construction going on in Traverse City, please be mindful of the extra time it will take to get to the Center Pointe Marina.**
After parking, enter the pedestrian tunnel in the southeast corner of the parking lot. This tunnel will lead you under the road and to CenterPointe Marina. You will come out on the ground level of a parking deck. Walk straight ahead to the building and then to the opening on your right. Look to your left and there will be a white tent next to the building, and your captain will meet you there.
If anyone in your party has mobility issues, or is concerned about the walk, please contact our office. We can give you directions to a convenient drop-off point, and then the driver can move the car to the parking area.
Please be sure to be at the tent 15 minutes prior to your scheduled sailing time. If you arrive early, please just wait at the tent for the captain to meet you.
**Important Notice:** Feel free to bring your own food and alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages with you, but please do not bring hard-sided coolers. The cruise also includes complimentary soft drinks, snacks and fruit. It is typically cooler out on the water so we recommend bringing a jacket or sweater with you. All passengers should wear soft-rubber soled shoes. No high heels please!

- Our captains and crew work very hard to ensure a first-rate experience for all of our guests. Tipping is customary and is typically 15-20%. Your tip should reflect your level of satisfaction with the experience.
