About
As the land warms up, the sea-breeze kicks in, making for more exciting sailing conditions. Work up your appetite for lunch or dinner with a thrilling sail along the northern tip of Amelia Island and across the Cumberland Sound to spot dolphins, wild horses and other wildlife, or join us for a magical sunset cruise.
Here's the difference between the Sailboat (Monohull) and the Catamaran: A sailboat leans over into the wind and gives that thrilling sensation of sailing motion. A catamaran does not lean at all, and gives a smooth upright ride. There is a trampoline on the front of the catamaran plus seating in the rear. Sailing purists prefer the sailboat.
Make sure you choose that which you would prefer!

##Thank you for reserving a charter with Windward Sailing. We are excited to share our passion for sailing, abundant wildlife viewing and historical knowledge with you!
The boats are located at 3 S Front St, Fernandina Beach 32034, the dock next to Brett's Waterway Cafe in the Historic Downtown of Fernandina. Walk down the dock on the left side of Brett's Waterway Cafe and take the second ramp to the left(dock “E”). Follow down the ramp and you’ll see the boats with Windward decals. Your captain will be waiting to welcome you onboard! There is plenty of free parking, but try to arrive 15 minutes early as you may have to walk a block or so.
Please remember not to wear heels, or hard bottom shoes, and bring clothing appropriate for the weather. We do have a restroom on board, but its a good idea to go before boarding the boat. Any drinks or snacks are welcome, except hard alcohol.
PLEASE KEEP THESE DIRECTIONS AS THERE MAY BE NO ONE TO ANSWER CALLS AT THE TIME OF YOUR CHARTER.

- Proper clothing (more is better)
- Shoes (no black on sole!)
- You may want to bring a small amount of cash in order to tip your captain assuming you have good service.
## If you booked Windwards Catamaran for between 7 and 12 passengers you will be asked to sign a bareboat agreement/waiver at the time of boarding. You should select a skipper from our list of pre-approved, third party, master USCG certified captains (please contact us for a list of captains) or provide your own qualified captain (vetted and approved by Windward Sailing). If you chose one of our pre-approved captains, we’ll make every effort to have the captain of your choice available on your charter date, but we can’t guarantee availability. If you choose a captain and crew contracted by Windward Sailing, a portion of the booking fee and any gratuity go directly to that captain and crew on pre-negotiated rates. If you bring your own captain, you will need to negotiate your own rates, and we may require a security deposit. A portion of your booking fee will go towards fuel and docking fees (if any). You are responsible for any food and drinks. Windward Sailing provides liability insurance. You are responsible for any additional insurance if required.
