South Shore Boat Diving
Dive Kauai operates a 25 ft. ZODIAC RIB (Rigid hull Inflatable Boat) called the “Hokupa’a”. Our ZODIAC is a US Coast Guard approved vessel for sixteen passengers that takes visitors to areas of marine interest along Kauai’s southern coast. When you’re diving with us we generally have 6 divers or less to ensure everyone has a unique and memorable experience. Dive Kauai is the only company on Kauai that incorporates a zodiac adventure while you dive in the gentler waters off of Kauai’s south shore.
Encounter occasional dolphins an abundance of exotic Hawaiian reef fish and beautiful coral formations. Let’s not forget, one of the most exciting creatures we will encounter is the Honu; i.e. the Hawaiian green sea turtle. There is so much to see on these southern coasts in terms of pristine reefs and off-shore caverns that diving in these areas becomes a true pleasure. The fish in these areas are plentiful, the reefs are gorgeous and the weather is almost always sunny and beautiful. #🤿 Boat Adventure Dive Overview
Get ready for an **unforgettable boat diving experience with Dive Kauai!** This adventure offers certified divers the chance to explore the pristine waters of Kauai, featuring **lava tubes, fascinating reef structures, and an abundance of marine life.** With over **13 dive sites** to choose from, our captain and crew will select the best sites based on **conditions of the day and qualifications of divers on board.**
###🌟 Dive Highlights:
* **Sheraton Caverns:** One of Kauai’s most famous dive sites, renowned for its majestic lava tubes, arches, and thriving Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles (Honu). While we strive to visit Sheraton Caverns **9 out of 10 times** due to its popularity, dive sites are never guaranteed. Kauai’s ever-changing conditions mean we can’t pre-select sites like other locations worldwide. But rest assured, our captain and crew will always choose the best sites for that day’s conditions to ensure a fantastic diving experience.
* **Abundant Marine Life:** Encounter vibrant coral formations, exotic reef fish, and even the hear magical songs of humpback whales (December–March).
All certified diver tours are **2-tank dives** and planned for approximately **4 hours**. The experience combines a topography dive (lava formations, collapsed lava tubes, etc.) with a reef dive, providing you with an exciting and diverse underwater adventure.

⚠️**Important:** All rental gear is included at no extra cost. However, if gear is lost or damaged beyond repair during your use, an additional fee will apply. Ensure your gear is secure before entering or exiting the water—ask your Scuba Instructor if you need guidance!

* **Sunglasses with Leash & Hat** (Preferably with straps to secure it)
* **Activity Voucher** (If booked by concierge or third party)
* **Cash/Credit Card** (For souvenirs & gratuity if you enjoyed your dive master’s service—gratuity appreciated but not required)

###💼 Can I Bring a Small Backpack or Personal Items?
Yes, guests are welcome to bring small personal items. Here’s what you need to know:
* **Best Option:** Leave items safely in your rental car if you drove yourself.
* **If You Were Dropped Off:** You may lock your belongings in our vans, **AT YOUR OWN RISK**. While theft is very uncommon on Kauai, we cannot be responsible for any loss or damage.
* **Recommendation:** Avoid bringing irreplaceable or valuable items.

⚠️ **Important:** Photos or photocopies are NOT accepted as valid proof of certification due to digital editing concerns. Always bring your **physical card or digital eCard!**
❗ If any certified divers in your group **DO NOT have their physical card or the digital eCard through their scuba agency app**, they will need to **obtain it PRIOR to the dive tour with Dive Kauai!**
