**Typical Schedule**
- Before Day 1 | Complete 4–5 hours of online learning.
- Day 1 | Academic review and pool refresher session.
- Day 2 | Double Dive at Cook Island Aquatic Reserve (if booked in conjunction).

The schedule may change slightly to ensure the best possible experience. Depending on conditions and group progress, the order of theory and pool sessions may be adjusted.

- Be at least 10 years old
- Certified Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
- If you’re over 45 or have any pre-existing medical conditions, you’ll need an AS4005.1 dive medical (valid for one year)

This program provides a structured opportunity to refresh your scuba skills before returning to open water diving.
Booking Notes
##✅SSI Registration & MySSI App
To get started, download the **free MySSI app** from the **App Store** or **Google Play.**
You can register **directly through the app** by creating your personal SSI profile. During registration, make sure to:
- **Enter your full details,** including your address
- **Upload a clear profile photo**
👉 Both are required to issue your certification upon course completion.
Once you’ve registered, **SSI will email you a temporary password.** Use this to log in, and then you can update your password within the app.
The app is also where you’ll:
- Access your **Scuba Skills Update digital learning materials**
- **Log your dives** during and after the course
- Track your certifications and training progress
##🩺 Medical Statement
After registering, go to your profile:
**Personal Data > Training & Documents > Medical Statement & Dive Code**
If you answer "Yes" to any questions on the medical form, you must provide medical clearance from a diving doctor. This applies to anyone who:
- Has a known medical condition
- Is over **45 years old,** or
- Has a **BMI over 30** *and* a **waist circumference** over 102 cm (males) or 88 cm (females)
👉 If required, you’ll need to complete an **AS4005.1 diving medical.** This usually takes around 45 minutes and costs approx. $140 - $180.

Arrive at your **check-in time** (e.g. 6:45 AM if stated). We open at check-in time and you’ll have plenty of time to get set up from there.
##🚗 Parking
We have limited **2-hour customer parking onsite.**
Free all-day street parking is available on Paradise Ave.
Due to light rail construction and ongoing roadworks on the Gold Coast Highway, parking may be limited on busy days. We recommend allowing some extra time to find a spot and arrive on time for check-in.
##📘 Course Structure
The Scuba Skills Update Course runs over **two consecutive days — typically Friday, Saturday.**
Before your course begins, complete **2–3 hours of online learning** through your MySSI profile:

Gold Coast Dive Centre is not responsible for any personal items brought to the premises or used during activities. This includes loss, damage, or theft.
Please **double-check your belongings before leaving,** as unclaimed items will be disposed of after 3 weeks.

Cancellation Policy
This package combines scheduled SSI training with a Cook Island dive trip. Instructor time, pool facilities and boat spaces are reserved specifically for your booking.
Package fees are non-refundable once booked. Rescheduling and missed sessions are managed in accordance with our SSI Course Terms & Conditions and Cook Island trip cancellation policy.
Third-party voucher payments and refunds are managed by the relevant booking provider.
