For your trip, we will provide you SUP, adult personal flotation devices (PFD), a dry bag for your keys, etc. and paddles.
What to wear:
River shoes or sandals that will stay on your feet that will get wet/muddy! Plan that you could get wet! Dress for the weather of the day! Think “layering”
We recommend bringing water to drink and sunblock. Holders/croakies for glasses or sunglasses are recommended to help avoid losing your glasses on the lake.
Be sure to bring a towel and a change of clothes for after your trip - you WILL get wet!
Please arrive at your scheduled time to fitted for PFD’s.
Please note: There are no bathrooms or changing rooms down by the lake access but there are some in the bike parking area above the launch.
Meeting Location: (You do not come to our office address in Bryson City!) Put this in your GPS: (Use Google) “Tsali Boating Access Ramp”: (This is in the “Tsali Recreation Area” right below “Tsali Campground) From Bryson City, follow Hwy 74 West and merge onto 28 North. Go 3.5 miles and turn right on Tsali Road. Go 1.8 miles down the road. Come ALL the way down to the very bottom of the road. Keep coming all the way to the very bottom parking area PAST the WILDLIFE sign. Look for our black Lincoln Navigator with trailer attached.

You will get wet. clothing that's comfortable wearing when wet or your swimsuit!

Dress for the weather of the day! Mountain weather changes quickly so be prepared for rain/wind/sun etc...
We recommend bringing something to drink, sunscreen & securing glasses & or sunglasses with strap.

*Location Notes: The Old 288 Boat Ramp at Situated at the end of Old NC 288, roughly a 6-minute drive from downtown Bryson City. This is a tranquil part of the Tuckasegee River that feeds into Fontana Lake.
