Nauti is a boat sharing service where we provide an electric boat, all set up and ready for you at the jetty. Book your preferred time, grab your picnic and friends and set out for a day on the river.
Rules and regulations do apply, so make sure you familiarise yourself prior to booking.
Dress Code
• Comfortable clothes and flat shoes. A jacket is great due to cooler winds on the river

• Drinks and Picnic food (limit 1x 60cm hard esky. Cooler bags can fit underneath the table)

# Ahoy skipper,
###Please read all the following info carefully
We are so excited to confirm your Sunset Cruise booking with us!
This is a 90min cruise starting at Ascot and you may go up or down river.
Further to our website info and our [T&C's](https://www.nautipicnics.com.au/terms/) that you have agreed to, we have gathered a few helpful bits of information to prepare you for a day on the river.
Even though you don't need formal training (skipper's ticket/boat license) to drive our boat, for your crew and your own safety, you do need to know how to navigate the river and to drive the boat.
# Know Before you Go
- Check out our [Boating Safety](https://www.nautipicnics.com.au/boatsafety/) page on important rules and regulations on the river and in the boat.
- Be on time. The first 15min entails a Safety Induction and all the crew have to be present and ready on the jetty. The next 90min is yours to enjoy on the river.
- If you are bringing children, all life jackets need to be fitted prior to embarking.
- Nauti has the right to forbid too much alcohol on the boat. Remember the skipper has to stay sober during the course of the boat hire
- The boat has a large picnic table in the middle. Pack lightly. Max 1 hard esky (60cm).
# Learn to be a skipper. Be prepared!!
Choose your skipper carefully and prior to the hire day. **If you are not the skipper, please share this email with your designated skipper so they can prepare**

A skipper means you are legally responsible for:
- The safety of our vessel and your passengers.
- Not endangering any other vessels.
- Must be ready to assist others who need help
- Understanding navigation rules and regulations on the river
- Staying sober with alcohol blood level of less than 0.05%
- Take time to understand where you want to go, and what you can and cannot do prior to your day
# Weather and Protection!!
Keep up to date on the weather so you don't get surprised. Check the wind gusts at Ascot, East Perth and Bayswater to get a feel for the weather. As a boating company we rely heavily on the weather, especially for the wind gusts to be lower than 30km. We do not operate in high gusts or rain.
We endeavour to operate our Hire & Drive in safe and appropriate weather conditions. Weather is monitored closely at all times and in the event the conditions are considered to be unsafe, we reserve the right to reschedule the hire up until the intended departure time. All effort is made to give as much prior notice of reschedule as possible, but no liability is accepted for inconvenience or last-minute change of charter plans by us.
In these events, you will have a chance to reschedule your booking for up to 3 months for free to another available time. No refunds.
If you are travelling from another country or state, or only want to use the boat for a special occasion, we recommend you get the **weather protection** for $50. This will provide you with a full refund in case of bad weather. The protection fee is non refundable.
Just hit reply to this email if you would like to purchase the protection and we will deduct it straight from your credit card. It cannot be purchased closer to your hire day.
# Conduct - an unfortunate clause
There may be times when we consider it appropriate to refuse or prohibit passengers onboard our boat. These situations may be:
- not being prepared to control our boat
- inappropriate behaviour
- intoxication
You agree that this is our absolute right and refusal by any person on board to adhere to our request will result in an immediate cessation of the operation of the hire with no refund. You agree to be responsible for any guests brought onto the vessel and you agree to forfeit of any payment made to us in such circumstances.
# Soak up the atmosphere
When you have learnt the ropes, you may sit back and enjoy your company, the food and the scenic views. The Swan River is very different to other waterways. Make sure you bring a camera and tag us from the boat @nautipicnics!
