Renting a paddleboard is the perfect way to get a workout while you explore majestic Lake Minnetonka - one of Minnesota’s largest and most cherished bodies of water.
Wayzata is located along the beautiful Lake Minnetonka, and our paddleboard rentals are located right at Wayzata Beach! You can paddle along the shoreline, admiring the views of the lake and houses dotting the shoreline, or paddle out to Spirit Island, a tiny picturesque island on the north side of the bay, about 1 mile away.

Paddle Board Rentals at Lake Minnetonka - Wayzata Beach
We offer lightweight and stable paddleboard rentals for all abilities. Rent by the hour, half day, full day or multi-day. We turn over our gear annually and offer a brand new rental fleet every season. Wai Nani Surf & Paddle only uses the best, most enjoyable rental paddle boards around.

What to Bring (suggested list)
* A swimsuit, rash guard, or athletic top with shorts as appropriate stand-up paddle boarding attire.
* We also recommend a towel, dry clothes, and some waterproof sunscreen. You may opt for some sunglasses (with an attachment strap) and a hat for extra sun protection.
* Hydration is very important before and after paddling.
💪🏽Health and Fitness Requirements
To ensure the utmost safety of our guests, participants MUST be in good physical condition to independently pull themselves up in the event they fall off their board. Please contact us at 877.WAI.NANI if you are unsure if you meet this critical safety requirement.
About the Shop
Based out of the Wayzata Public Beach on scenic Lake Minnetonka MN, Wai Nani Surf & Paddle is the leading Twin Cities Full Service Stand Up Paddleboard & Kayak Service Provider offering SUP rentals, lessons, paddle board fitness and yoga, custom group events, and community.
We support the [Three Rivers Parks District](https://www.threeriversparks.org/) and our [Local YMCA](https://www.ymcanorth.org/locations/ridgedale_ymca) with discounted equipment rentals.
We carry all of the required licenses, permits, and insurance to provide rentals and classes at Lake Minnetonka.

**Cancellation policy**
* 24-hour notice: SUP & Kayak Rental Participants will receive a full refund provided a 24-hour notice of cancellation is given.
* **Weather**: A full refund is provided In the event of cautious wind/weather (as determined at the sole discretion of the Wai Nani Surf & Paddle team.) Please allow for a window of 7-10 business days for the refund to process. No-shows will be charged the full price. Please contact us at 877.WAI.NANI with any cancellation questions or concerns.
**🌧️Weather policy**
A light shower can be refreshing and over in 5 minutes. But, if more substantial rain is anticipated, we will reschedule at a more convenient time. Additionally, if we believe the day’s weather or water conditions to be hazardous, we reserve the right to reschedule.
Wai Nani Surf & Paddle will contact renters/class participants a minimum of 1-hour prior to their reservation.
Please provide both email and cell phone numbers at the time of your reservation.
Full refunds will be given for any beach or operational closure as determined at the sole discretion of the Wai Nani Surf & Paddle team.

FAQs
**Can we take the SUP rental with us to go?**
Yes, the minimum rental period for taking a paddleboard with you is a 1-day rental. Please contact us for renting for multi-day rentals.
**What is the minimum age requirement for participants?**
Due to safety concerns, SUP rentals at Wayzata Beach are for individuals age 12+ only. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by and Adult.
**Are there any weight restrictions for participants?**
Our rental fleet is made up of lightweight stand-up paddleboards from Grey Duck & Idol that comfortably accommodate paddlers up to approximately 230 lbs.
**Can I bring my pet/dog along on the paddleboard rental or class?**
Sorry, we do not allow pets to ride on the paddleboards.
**What happens in case of bad weather or unfavorable weather conditions?

**Are there any restroom facilities available on-site?**
We are located at a public park which has free restrooms, showers, and water fountains available for use.
**Is there a place to change or shower at the studio or location?**
There are public bathrooms with showers available right next to our location at Wayzata Public Beach.
**Do I need to make a Lake Minnetonka paddleboard rental reservation in advance?**
We highly recommend a reservation to guarantee availability, but we do offer walk-up rentals as well.
Age Activity Notice
Due to safety concerns, Rentals, as well as Clinics/Classes at Wayzata Beach, are for individuals age 12+ only (age 12-15 must be accompanied on the water by a parent or adult guardian.) Sorry, no riders allowed while renting at Wayzata Beach, including pets. Half/Full Day, Weekend, and Multi-Day Rentals outside of Wayzata Beach are available to ALL ages when reserved by a consenting adult age 18+.
Renters under age 18 must have a parent or legal guardian’s signature on the required waiver form. Waiver forms are available through the online booking process or can be provided onsite.

Our brand new rental fleet is made up of stable lightweight modern equipment that comfortably accommodate guests up to approximately 250 lbs. To ensure the utmost safety of our guests, participants MUST be in good physical condition to independently responsibly operate the equipment .
