Booking Notes

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- All commercial support boat bookings are subject to a 4-hour minimum.
- Each boat includes a USCG licensed captain and 20 nautical miles of fuel.
- Each boat is equipped with Navigation lights, Radar, AIS, VHF, GPS Chart-plotter, and Sonar.
- We do not permit anyone but our USCG licensed captains to operate the boats.
- The Area of Operation is considered all navigable water within New York Harbor.
- Our captains abide by all federal and state laws and regulations.
- Our 7-meter boats accommodate up to 6 passengers; Our 9-meter boats up to 12 passengers; Vessel 'Sweet Freedom' can carry 6 passengers.
- If large photo/video equipment cases are brought aboard, passenger count may need to be reduced at the discretion of our captain to allow for safe operations.
- The boats are not suitable for pregnant women or anyone with back problems.
- No children under 12 years of age are permitted on Support Boat Charters unless previously agreed upon in writing.
- All passengers must be physically fit to transfer on/off the vessel themselves; our seats are rated at 280 pounds.
- The boats will be strictly used for transport of passengers/equipment. No swimming or diving.
- Chelsea Piers and Liberty Landing Marina dock access is included; other docking may be arranged and third party docking fees may apply
- If additional charter time is desired, it is billed hourly at the regular applicable rate, if the boat is available
- 50% refund up to 30 days of scheduled date/departure; No refunds within 30 days of scheduled date/departure.
- Passengers are insured; camera equipment and any gear/equipment brought aboard is not insured by Norsk Marine LLC.
- Area of Operation: New York Harbor: North of the Verrazano Bridge, south of the George Washington Bridge, east of Port Newark and west of the Whitestone Bridge. Excluding temporary and/or permanent Security Zones established by the USCG, NYPD or other government agencies.
- Special arrangements must be made for operations outside New York Harbor. Fuel surcharge may apply.
- No smoking is permitted aboard our vessels.
- Should a special clean-up be required after the charter (a cleaning task that is more extensive than the standard cleaning, such as spilled coffee or liquids that require special teak wood treatment), a cleaning fee will be assessed.
- New York Media Boat reserves the right to refuse boarding or to remove a person from our boats if said person appears intoxicated, exhibits unruly and/or disruptive behavior, or is deemed unfit to be on the vessel for any reason.
- We maintain the boats at a very high standard and do our absolute best to adhere to all bookings, but reserve the right to cancel a tour due to any unforeseen circumstances, such as mechanical failure, or unsafe weather conditions, in which case a full refund is issued or we may substitute a vessel.
- This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the United States of America.
- The reservation is confirmed once payment has been made.

Any UAV/drone Operation MUST Be Previously Arranged
- Launching of UAVs/drones is not permitted unless we are notified in advance, in which case the pilot's U.S. FAA issued 'Remote Pilot' license and 'Certificate of Insurance' must be current and a photo/copy submitted to tours@NYmediaBoat.com prior to launch. The current license must be in possession of the Pilot during UAV operations and be shown to the NYMB captain for validity verification. We do NOT accept foreign pilot licenses.
- During UAV operation, boat captain, UAV PIC and DP/essential crew may be aboard the vessel. For safety reasons no additional passengers are permitted unless approved by NYMB captain or management.
- UAV deployment is only permitted if NYMB captain and UAV PIC both deem sea conditions safe at time of launch and the UAV must be retrieved immediately if status of conditions changes.
- No refund will be issued if conditions are unfavorable for UAV operation at time of launch, the pilot is unlicensed, or law enforcement shuts down the flight ops for any reason.

Any Vessel-to-Vessel Transfers MUST Be Previously Arranged
- For vessel-to-vessel transfers one additional crew member is required to assist with the operation.
- Vessel-to-vessel transfer is only available when weather and sea conditions allow.
- The captain of each vessel has to deem conditions safe and agree to the transfer at the time of the transfer.
- All persons must be physically fit to transfer on/off the vessels themselves.
- Sturdy flat soled shoes must be worn. No high heels or flip flops.
- Vessel-to-vessel transfer can only be conducted if the captain deems the deck of the third party vessel to be suitable and safe for transfer.
- No refund will be issued if we run the boat, but conditions are deemed unsafe by either captain and do not allow for vessel to vessel transfer at the time of transfer.

Cancellation Policy

50% refund up to 30 days of scheduled departure; No refunds within 30 days of scheduled departure.
