# ⏰ Arrival & Parking
Please arrive **30–45 minutes early**. Trips run on a strict schedule.
**Parking Information:**
- Parking is **$10**, paid via QR Code posted in the lot
- Parking is limited — Uber or Taxi is strongly recommended
- Park only in designated **vehicle** spaces (tickets issued by Collier County)
If no parking is available:
- Send **one person** to the picnic tables to locate a Captain
- The Captain will assist with off-site parking if needed
After parking: **WAIT at the picnic tables to the LEFT of the Ship Store**.
Your Captain will find you wearing a **Reel Kind Fishing & Tours shirt**.

If your Captain is not immediately present, they may be returning from another charter and preparing the boat. **Please do not approach or hover around the vessel during prep.**

# ⏳ Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your boat may have already departed.
- Captains can only wait **approximately 5 minutes**
- Late arrivals may forfeit their trip with **no refund**

# 🏝️ Shelling Island Time Policy
Please return to the boat **exactly at the time assigned by your Captain**.
- Late returns delay other guests and trips
- Any party returning late will be charged **$30 per person** if departure is delayed

# 🚫 Vessel Rules
- **NO SMOKING**
- **NO aerosol sunscreen application on the vessel**

# 🐚 What to Bring – Shelling Trips
- 2–3 bottles of water per person
- **At least one electrolyte drink (Gatorade or equivalent)**
- Snack
- Bucket or bag for shells
- Sneakers or water shoes (_flip flops not recommended_)
- Hand rake
- Bug spray
- Towel
- Sunscreen (non-aerosol)
- Polarized sunglasses
- Rain gear (June–October)
- Small soft cooler only (no large coolers)
**Heat Safety:** Water alone does NOT prevent heat exhaustion. Electrolytes or sugar-based drinks are essential. We strongly recommend carrying **one drink with you while shelling**.
**All guests must disembark during shelling stops. No one may remain on the boat without the Captain.**

- Guests must be able to **step in and out of the boat**
- Expect to get **feet wet** (ankle to knee deep at times)
- Some of the best shells are found **in the water**

# 🌦️ Weather Policy
Weather decisions are made **solely by the Captain** based on **safety**, not temperature.
- Cancellations may occur in advance or at the dock
- If WE cancel due to weather, **you will not be charged**
- We will attempt to reschedule when possible
- Morning temperatures below 70°F can feel chilly — dress in layers

It is your responsibility to ensure we have the **correct phone number** and that your phone is **on and with you**, especially the night before or early morning of your trip.

# 💙 Gratuity
Gratuity is greatly appreciated and makes up a portion of our Captains’ income.
- Suggested gratuity: **18–20%**
- May be added to credit card or given in cash
- Parties of 6 or more: automatic **18% gratuity**

# ❗ Cancellation Policy
- **Within 48 hours or No-Shows:** Full charge or gift certificate redeemed
- **Cancel within 48 hours and rebook immediately (same month):** No penalty. Canceling the rebooked trip results in full charge
- **Cancel within 14 days without rebooking:** 50% charge
- **Holiday Weeks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s):** NO refunds or credits within 14 days
