Night Dives
This tour is for certified divers only. This thrilling experience allows divers to observe Hawaii’s underwater nightlife at its best. Divers are likely to encounter octopus, lobsters, eels, sleeping turtles, and a nocturnal phenomenon called bioluminescence. Each diver is equipped with all necessary scuba equipment, along with a super bright underwater primary light and a backup light. Each night dive includes a detailed site and marine biology orientation along with specific night diving procedures. Night dives typically last approximately 45 minutes depending upon air consumption with an average depth of 25-40 feet. We offer a two tank twilight/night dive for those divers who would like to see the best of both worlds; the reef before and after the sun goes down.

#🤿 Twilight/Night Dive Adventure Overview
Prepare for a **truly magical diving experience** as you explore the captivating transformation of Kauai’s underwater world from day to night. This unique **2-tank dive at Koloa Landing (Poipu)** offers easy entry and minimal surface swimming, making it a stress-free choice for divers of all levels. The protected cove provides smoother, more enjoyable diving conditions—especially great for those prone to motion sickness.
Your adventure begins with a **Twilight Dive**, where you’ll explore both sides of the scenic **“U” shaped reef** and witness the vibrant daytime marine life preparing for rest. As darkness sets in, the **Night Dive** reveals a new world of activity with nocturnal creatures like **lobsters, shrimps, crabs, Hawaiian octopuses, and eels** emerging from their hiding places. Occasional sightings of glowing **bioluminescent organisms** add a magical touch to the experience.
Expect to encounter an abundance of marine life, including **Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, Moray Eels, Octopuses, tropical fish,** and more. At Koloa Landing, it’s not about if you’ll see turtles—it’s about how many you’ll meet along the way! Both dives typically last around **45 minutes each**, with depths ranging from **27 to 40 feet**, ensuring a safe yet exciting dive.

* **Sunglasses with Leash & Hat** (Preferably with straps to secure it)
* **Activity Voucher** (If booked by concierge or third party)
* **Cash/Credit Card** (For souvenirs & gratuity if you enjoyed your dive master’s service—gratuity appreciated but not required)

###💼 Can I Bring a Small Backpack or Personal Items?
Yes, guests are welcome to bring small personal items. Here’s what you need to know:
* **Best Option:** Leave items safely in your rental car if you drove yourself.
* **If You Were Dropped Off:** You may lock your belongings in our vans, **AT YOUR OWN RISK**. While theft is very uncommon on Kauai, we cannot be responsible for any loss or damage.
* **Recommendation:** Avoid bringing irreplaceable or valuable items.

⚠️ **Important:** Photos or photocopies are NOT accepted as valid proof of certification due to digital editing concerns. Always bring your **physical card or digital eCard!**
❗ If any certified divers in your group **DO NOT have their physical card or the digital eCard through their scuba agency app**, they will need to **obtain it PRIOR to the dive tour with Dive Kauai!**
