Spot, Whales, Puffins, Sea Lion, Porpoise and more both on and off the water!** Aialik & Holgate Glaciers are the largest tidewater glaciers in the Kenai Fjords National Park. Ice the size of city blocks can calve from the face of these magnificent natural formations. Our kayaking trips are fully guided and outfitted and require no prior experience from the participants. The length of our day trip is greater than any other outfitter in our area, allowing for access to Pedersen Lagoon's tidally dependent entry nearly every time. # Our full day kayaking tours to the National Park include breakfast, lunch, snacks, hot drinks throughout the day, Kayak Guide, Captain, kayak and associated necessary equipment in the price - Please read the following before you arrive!
* **This tour returns between 6pm and 9pm** Return time is dependent on our boat schedule for the day, and cannot be guaranteed at a specific time. Please plan accordingly.
* **Please arrive 30 minutes early for your trip to park, complete waiver paperwork, use the restroom, etc!**
* **We offer the following foul weather gear** please plan ahead!

Neoprene Booties sizes 7 through 13 (We recommend your own personal shoes for this trip, you should never have to step into water, we use sit-in kayaks and spray skirts on so you stay dry)
* **NO BANANAS OR ANY BANANA RELATED PRODUCTS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE BOAT!** Banana’s are bad luck. The crew **will** throw them overboard, we take this seriously.
* **Alcohol is not permitted on board** Remember, it's a boat, not a bar! Drinking whilst on the tour is strictly prohibited!
* **Please medicate for sea sickness in advance if necessary** if it is known to ail you ahead of time, go to bed early the night before and follow the instructions on your motion sickness treatment meds! Alcohol and antihistamines will have you sleeping all day, so don't plan a big night out before your trip!

# What you should bring
- **There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad equipment** - *Old Norwegian saying*
- **Assume it's going to rain** and be happy when it doesn't. The majority of the time it's gorgeous out there, but there's nothing like being prepared.
* **Layer, Layer, and Layer:** Synthetics or wool are best with a rain proof top and bottom if possible. We do have dry bags for a full change of clothes if you'd like to bring that, as well as any favorite snacks you choose to bring.
* **Rain Gear:** We have some extra rain gear, but recommend if you have some, to bring your own. Ask your guide if you are unsure about your setup.
* **Gloves:** Bulky gloves can be more trouble than they're worth, absorb water and keep it there, doing more harm than good! Light duty polypropylene gloves or featherweight neoprene can get wet, are cheap, pack easy, etc. We also have pogies available for our National Park trips.
* **A good hat:**
* Sunscreen & any medication you may need
* **Sea sickness meds:** - if you know you suffer from sea sickness, ask your doctor if [Promethazine](https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-8895/promethazine-oral/details) is appropriate for you. If it's good enough for astronauts, it'll probably work on our boats. Transderm Scopalamine patches are also very effective and don't result in drowsiness.
* **Camera:** If you have a waterproof housing or bag, definitely bring it! On kayaking trips, cameras of course have an increased risk of falling into the ocean. Phones work great, and we may have water resistant phone cases for you to use during your trip, inquire when you arrive!
* **Water Bottle:** We have extra water, but please bring a water bottle so we can refill it. Let your guide know if you dont have one.

#Location and Directions
Miller’s Landing is located at 13890 Beach Drive, Seward Alaska 99664. Which is about 1 ½ mile south of the city of Seward along Resurrection Bay at Lowell Point. If you are coming into Seward from the Anchorage area (North of us) then you should be on Highway 9 (the Seward Highway) which turns into 3rd Ave once you hit the Seward city limits. Stay on this road till it end and you can either turn left (towards Alaska Sealife Center) or right towards Lowell Point Road. Turn right onto Lowell Point Road. Just past the waterfall the road will turn from pavement to dirt. Continue to follow this road until you see the Miller’s Landing Welcome sign. #Fuel Surcharge
Please know that fuel is the largest expense we have as charter operators. Our prices reflect the price of fuel at the time of publishing. In previous years we have not added a fuel surcharge, however, due to the volatile and uncertain nature of fuel prices, Millers Landing reserves the right to add a fuel surcharge to the trip rates.
A fuel surcharge will only be applied in the event of soaring fuel prices based on the price of fuel at the time of your charter. Should the price of marine fuel remain under $4.50 per gallon there will be no additional charge.
This will ensure that we are able to take you to the best parts of the Fjords without regard for the cost of fuel or how far we must travel. By adding a fee schedule we can mitigate that concern, and provide you the ultimate Kayaking or fishing experience.
