Important Information
Client is responsible for pick up, transporting, storing and drop off the rented item at our location located in Fajardo Puerto Rico.
When making the reservation, the client agrees that Pirate Snorkeling SHack will make a hold on his credit card as a guarantee that the rented equipment will return in the agreed time, without breakage or damage:

Pirate Snorkeling specializes in introducing guests to the amazing underwater life and natural beauty of the protected area of Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve Ensenada Yegua, Fajardo Puerto Rico. We are passionate about marine-life and eco-tourism and hope that our guests are inspired to make a commitment to protect our oceans and marine-life too.
We ask that you do not touch coral, fish, or turtles and please, never feed the fish anything a human would eat. Help our reefs and oceans by using sustainable practices such as reef safe sunscreen, reusable water bottles, and reusable cups.

Please arrive **30 minutes before your scheduled pickup time** to allow time for parking, check-in, equipment inspection, paperwork, and safety instructions.
Please bring:

Late arrival does not extend your rental period. Significant late arrival may be treated as a no-show in accordance with your booking terms.

## 📅 Your Weekly Rental
Your rental is valid for **up to 7 consecutive days**, beginning on the scheduled pickup date shown in your reservation.
Only the equipment specifically selected and paid for during booking is included.
Depending on your reservation, your rental may include:
• Kayak(s), paddles, backrests, and PFDs
• Stand-up paddleboard(s), paddle, leash, and PFD
• Beach chair(s)
• Beach umbrella(s)
• Applicable basic safety equipment
• Basic equipment orientation at pickup
All rented equipment must be returned by the **designated return time on the final rental day**.

## 📝 Before You Arrive

• Hat and sunglasses
• Personal medications
• Waterproof pouch or dry bag for valuables

## 🦺 Water Safety
PFDs should be worn while using kayaks and paddleboards.
Always:
• Follow the safety instructions provided at pickup
• Check weather, wind, and water conditions before entering the water
• Stay within areas appropriate for your ability and equipment
• Keep children and minors under adult supervision
• Avoid using watercraft in unsafe weather or marine conditions
• Avoid touching coral or marine wildlife
Pirate Snorkeling Shack may restrict or suspend equipment use when conditions create a safety concern.

## 🌬️ Umbrella Safety
Beach umbrellas should not be opened or used when wind conditions make setup unsafe.
Guests are responsible for properly securing and supervising umbrellas throughout the rental period.

## 🚗 Transport & Storage
If you transport kayaks, paddleboards, or other rental equipment in your own vehicle, you are responsible for using an appropriate vehicle and safely securing the equipment.
During the weekly rental period, the renter is responsible for the **transportation, storage, security, care, and proper use** of all rented equipment.
Lost, stolen, damaged, or unreturned equipment may result in additional charges.

Please help us protect Puerto Rico’s coastline and marine life:
• Do not touch or stand on coral
• Do not touch, chase, or feed marine wildlife
• Use reef-safe sunscreen

• Take all trash and personal belongings with you
• Follow posted environmental regulations and staff instructions
Marine-life sightings and water visibility vary naturally and cannot be guaranteed.

Weekly rentals are subject to **weather, wind, marine, and safe operating conditions**.
Weather forecasts, rain, cloud cover, visibility, or changing natural conditions do not automatically mean your rental is canceled.
If Pirate Snorkeling Shack determines that conditions are unsafe for certain equipment, we may restrict or suspend its use.

Cancellation Policy
**Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before your scheduled rental start time for a full refund.**
Cancellations made **within 48 hours**, as well as **late arrivals and no-shows**, are non-refundable.
Requests to reschedule must be made at least **48 hours in advance** and are subject to availability and any applicable change fees.
Weekly rentals are subject to **weather, wind, marine, equipment availability, and safe operating conditions**. If Pirate Snorkeling Shack determines that conditions are unsafe before the rental begins and cannot provide the reserved equipment, you may be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund in accordance with our weather policy.
Once the weekly rental has begun, **temporary changes in weather, wind, marine conditions, beach conditions, or visibility during the rental period do not automatically qualify for a refund or extension**. Certain equipment may need to remain unused until conditions improve.
**Late pickup does not extend the rental period.** All rented equipment must be returned by the designated return time on the final rental day.
Lost, stolen, damaged, or unreturned equipment is handled separately from the cancellation policy and may result in additional charges.
Please do not assume your rental is canceled based on a forecast or changing conditions unless **Pirate Snorkeling Shack contacts you directly**.
Important Information
Guests are responsible for using all rented equipment safely and according to the instructions provided at pickup. PFDs should be worn while using kayaks and paddleboards. Watercraft and umbrellas should not be used when weather, wind, or marine conditions make use unsafe. Use caution when carrying, transporting, launching, or storing equipment, especially on wet, sandy, or uneven surfaces. Children must remain under adult supervision. Pirate Snorkeling Shack may restrict or suspend equipment use when conditions create a safety concern.
