🌿 What You’ll See
The monarchs are migrating, the otters are chirping through the bends, and raptors are everywhere — from bald eagles to red-tailed hawks and even peregrine falcons. Beavers are active this season too, so keep an eye out for fresh chews and lodge signs along the banks.

Obstacles are easily navigable, and the current is mellow — perfect for beginners and seasoned paddlers alike.

We can’t wait to get you on the water for the 6-Mile Greenbelt Wildlife Paddle. This scenic stretch of river is known for its quiet bends, blooming spring banks, and plenty of wildlife — including playful otters, great blue herons, and raptors overhead. Here’s everything you need to know before launch:

🕗 Event Timeline
8:00 AM – Meet & Greet / Avant Paddle Party
Start your morning with music, coffee, and free Pop Board demos before we hit the water.

9:30 AM – Launch!
We’ll gather lakeside for a short safety chat and group launch into the scenic, wildlife-rich Greenbelt.
Our lunch stop will be at the historic Old Denton Bridge — pack your favorite picnic or fall snack. 🥪

You’ll receive a pin and reminder email before the event.
Look for event signage and follow parking directions on arrival.

FM 428 Access:

From Dallas / Ft. Worth – Take I-35 North → Loop 288 N (5 mi) → FM 428 E (5.5 mi) → Park entrance.

From McKinney – Take Hwy 380 W → Hwy 377 N → FM 428 W (4 mi) → Park entrance.

**Cancellation Policy:** To cancel any paddle, please text us at 469-806-7400. If rentals are involved, your cancellation within 24hours of event will automatically trigger a gift card for the rental amount. You may also request to move your rental to the next available date. In the event of a weather-related cancellation, you will be automatically rebooked for the next available date unless you contact us to make other arrangements.
