The goal of YOUTH SUMMER SAILING is to connect our future generations to the water via sailing and provide young sailors with the skills and confidence to lead them on great journeys throughout their lifetime. Every day will be an adventure as we set off to explore the local waters while learning and having fun.
Booking Notes
Thank you for booking Youth Summer Sailing! Our sailing program is guaranteed to be the most fun and educational youth summer program in Rockaway. We are looking forward to creating lasting memories and lifelong skills for your child!
Children may get dropped off for sailing up to 15 minutes before the start of the session, ie. 8:45 am (for morning session starting at 9 am) or 1:15 pm (for afternoon session starting at 1:30 pm). We recommend arriving early on the first day in order to take the time to fill out our liability waivers and settle any enrollment balances that may exist.
FOUL WEATHER: We still convene if it's raining or too windy to sail, as we have indoor and land based activities as an alternative.
Items for your child to bring to sailing:
1) Water shoes that do not easily slip off their feet
2) Bathing suit (if they plan to swim)
3) A hat (ball cap or wide brimmed)
4) Light colored clothing.
5) Towel
6) Water bottle
7) Snacks or lunch (optional)
PEDESTRIANS AND BIKES: There is a door gate to the left of main gate.
CARS: The main gate automatically rolls open-make sure to drive up and stop directly over the yellow line.
* Both entries are controlled via remote. To enter the marina, please call us when you arrive. 516-206-2642.
*One of our staff will be available during drop-off and pick-up time to activate the gate for entry.
There is parking for guests and areas to store/lock bikes.
We have bottled water and fruit available to the children if they want. If your child brings a packed lunch, we can store food in our mini fridge.
We also provide well fitting life preservers. If your child has their own life preserver they are welcome to bring that.
If your child has any health concerns or allergies that we should be made aware of please let us know beforehand by responding to this email or giving us a call.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations initiated 30 days or more before their start date are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations initiated less than 30 days before the start date and more than 15 days before the start date will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations made less than 15 days before the start date will not receive a refund.
*Cancellations of rescheduled reservations will not receive a refund.
Rescheduling is at any point is an option IF there is availability for alternate dates.
Rescheduling within 15 days of the booking will incur a $40 rescheduling fee.
Important Information
All children are required to have basic swimming ability.
